Mine Site
Arumpo Bentonite’s mine is located approximately 95km north east of Mildura. The substantial site contains the largest deposit of bentonite in Australia with reserves exceeding 70 million tonnes. The mining campaign is seasonal, operating during summer. The raw bentonite is mined and sundried on-site on large drying beds before being screened and transported into Arumpo’s all-weather Production Site near Mildura for storage and processing.
Production Site
Arumpo Bentonite’s Production Site is located in Buronga, near Mildura. This site is the location of company administration, processing, milling, laboratory and packing operations. Recent additions include the addition of a second mill, a new office building, and the 2016 upgrades to our Outdoor Processing area and storage sheds. This site despatches multiple loads daily for milled, sun dried and kiln sun dried products in a variety of formats from small bags to bulk pneumatic tankers.
